Does your diagram look something like this?

From the diagram you can see that there are 13 pairs of rabbits after 7 months, and the sequence is 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, ...
What comes after 13? Try figuring this out before reading on....
Can you see what you get when you add any two pairs of consecutive numbers in the sequence.......you get the next number in the sequence, i.e.
3 + 5 = 8, 5 + 8 = 13, 8 + 13 = 21 and so on. Hence the sequence is:
1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, ...

That's all fascinating stuff, but what's it got to do with the golden spiral? Let's take a look..
